Moby-Dick: Or, the Whale by Herman Melville
4.0

I was expecting it to be more difficult to get through considering how much flak it gets but it was fine. The writing was very pretty and fancy which is fun. The only real issue I had was that sometimes the writing was so flowery it wouldn't immediately sync up in my head with any meaning, but most of the time it wasn't a problem. I liked Queequeg and was sad to see him fade into the background as the story progressed but I also really enjoyed Stubb. One peril of reading these oldies is that you pretty much already know how they end, but I wonder how much more tense it would have been to read it fresh.
