1st read 1 star - The reason I gave this book 1 star is not cause it's the worst book I've read this year, but because it was so boring I couldn't finish it. It got to the stage where I'd read less than 100 pages in like 20 days. I decided to sit down and just read it. Then that reading became skimming. Which became flicking. Which soon turned into me closing the book on something like page 110 and saying 'I can't read this anymore'. Now this book was by no means bad. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. I just didn't get it. It didn't excite me and I didn't look forward to sitting down on an evening and reading it. A few people asked me what i was reading and whether it was good and I would just respond by saying 'well to be honest, no it isn't that good'. I was reading it for so god damn long that I thought I deserved to say I'd read it because I mean I got the whole idea of the story and I did flick to the end of the book so I could see just about what had happened. I can't reiterate enough that this wasn't the worst book ever, I just got so bored of reading it, I feel I have no right to give it a good star rating.

2nd read 3.5 stars - Extremely confused what state of mind I was in when I rated this book last time and also why it took me so long seeing as I’ve just started and finished it in 4 hours
