Flowers for the Sea by Zin E. Rocklyn

Just know, my rating has more to do with personal taste then the quality of the book, writing, and the overall narrative. I can definitely see why this books would get some high ratings. In my attempt to stretch myself in my reading I thought a quick novella that had a interesting premise would do me well, but this just did not do it for me. That being said, the writing was beautiful. The premise was really intriguing and details of the narrative did catch my interest. The lead character was a great narrative perspective that I did enjoy. How it all comes together and my feeling of wanting more left me struggling to be drawn into the story or enjoying it. The feeling of ambiguity that I was left with might be something that many other readers would enjoy-- not me. However, that is a fairly common reaction I have to many novellas-- I just want more.
