Daun yang Jatuh Tak Pernah Membenci Angin by Tere Liye

i think the first time that i read this novel was back in 6th grade, that would be around 2015 - 2016. at that time, this was one of my favorite novel. I really thought the story was beautiful, full of yearning, and easy to read.

but now, the 11th grade me can't shake the implications that lost on me previously. i still think the writing was okay, though I'm not gonna lie, during some of the parts in this book, I found myself got bored by the narration style. but as tania grew, we can clearly see the shift in her behaviour and mind, and that's also apparent in the writing style. i thought that bits was pretty clever.

but I think, that's the only extent that I could appreciate this book for. first time reading this, I was totally mind blown by the turn of the events that happened later on, but I was fucking petrified this time around. going in, I already knew what's this story is about, even though I forgot most of the details, but oh boy, did it really irked me when I know the details now.

Spoilerno matter how you put it, danar's love for tania is forbidden. it is. by law. and by common sense. he met her when she was 11, a fucking minor, when he was a fucking grown adult. that's just not acceptable, and could grow into something really dangerous. i think it's equally important to understand both of their parts that even they're not pursuing that relationship, the implication behind it is already malicious enough. that not even the description of danar as their helping angel is redeemable enough for that
