Widely entertaining, laugh-out-loud funny tbh!
It boggles my mind that my middle grade self had never heard of this book but on the other hand it was at a time when I had been drilled with doctrines such as ‘classics are the only literature worth it’ so how would I have? It’s definitely something I’m lucky to have read in English now because it’s best appreciated in its original language.
Is it me or has Bartimaeus grown fond of little resilient Nathan? Ahaha. 😏
