This is a fantastic place to start in your trans education. I decided I would annotate this book for a family member who is asking me about the trans experience and hardships. They asked from a place of ignorance, thinking that the trans experience isn't a hard one. I will happily mail them this book with all my notes so that they may be enlightened on just what being trans comes with.
Written from a trans man and athlete POV, I still found it incredibly educational. Even the chapters I didn't think I needed to read, like the long chapter on being a trans athlete, gave me more information and insight on the general trans experience. This book is for everyone and should be required reading.
