This short collection of personal essays (ala Jia Tolentino's Trick Mirror) is well worth the read. I struggled with parts that were, frankly, a little over my head. Unfortunately, the chapter I struggled with the most was the first chapter - it's super intellectual and I got pretty lost in it haha - but the chapters after that, I found easier to read and comprehend - so don't give up hope if the first essay is not for you. After that point, I was highlighting, and thinking, and reflecting, and wanting to immediately lend this book to a friend. I am excited to follow this author in her writing to come
