This book was just... *chef's kiss*.
This is the second book of the Brown Sisters trilogy by Talia Hibbert and, honestly, it was AWESOME.

As per usual, I was hesitant to start reading it, because I am always afraid that I will get disappointed. However, I am trying to shake this attitude away, so I gave it a try. Let me tell you that it wasn't disappointing at all!

The focus of this book is the second sister, Danika Brown, who is a PhD student walking through life without giving in in all the fluffy relationship stuff. Of course, everything is about to change when a video of a co worker "saving" her goes viral. Dani doesn't get know it yet, but the universe is already working in her favour.

Just like the first one, it is deals with a lot of personal growth aspects, there is an interracial couple and it is incredibly touching. It really offers some food for thought, while maintaining the rom-com element throughout its course and creating a great reading experience in the process. I just love what a pleasant time I had while reading this book! The times I found myself pausing in order to think or the ones I was laughing out loud, causing people at the grocery store to look funny my way were more than I was willing to admit.

It was fast paced and the characters were extremely loveable. I would have liked more glimpses into Chloe's life, since I am still attached to her from the first book of the series, but you can't have everything. Danika herself is such a fascinating  and relatable character and I honestly couldn't get enough of her. I really really hope that the third book will feature Chloe and Dani more often.

Also, Jesus took the wheel with the spice in this book, 'cause I surely didn't know what was happening. I suspect that the fact that this was an audiobook played a great role in my reactions while listening to the pretty graphic descriptions. Just delicious! But maybe consider using headphones when the walls of your house are thin like ciggarete paper, because otherwise your neighbours will give you strange stares at the hallway. Oh well, what can you do?

It is needless to say of course, that Zafir is the absolute perfect contemporary romance boyfriend. (Do I say for pretty much every man written by a woman? Yes I do, stfu.) I mean, this guy is top tier, he really notched up the game over here.

I don't really have a negative thing to say about this book. Reading it was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to the lovers of this genre.

I strongly believe that I will be reading merely anything apart from contemporary romance in the upcoming months.
