I wish I had read this physically, as I struggle with audiobooks sometimes. I would have found a map helpful and got some side characters mixed up.
Other than that i LOVED this!!! Second-chance romance between a king and his paladin.
A queer-normative fantasy realm with knights, political intrigue, and magical zombies?!?
Mallet and Lance were my favorite side characters!!
The romance scenes were done well, but I could have done with more pining from Xavrius 😉
I will absolutely continue the series!!
