Though I already had Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy and The Way of Kings on my shelf, something about 'Yumi and the Nightmare Painter' intrigued me enough to make it my first Sanderson read. I'm thrilled that I did! This story, paired with its stunning artwork, captured my imagination completely.

The book offers a magnificent journey through fantasy realms, proving its appeal extends beyond young audiences. It reminds us of the importance of believing in magical worlds, making it possible through the enchanting power of secret novels.
