Life To My Flight
by Lani Lynn Vale
So frustrated by this. Once more, it seems that I have fallen into the land of where there is a very good set-up... and then... it just meanders along and then ends. With a couple of sentences to pull everything together. Which it didn't.
Firstly - Cleo walked out on her... a year later he's back. It is as if nothing happened. Also, there was an allusion to the fact that something else had happened. Never referred to again... Then there were his sisters. They were just awful. Why on earth he put up with them, I don't know... he was dumb as a box of frogs... blood really doesn't matter. Then Rue is suddenly A-OK with him wanting to be back in her life... that makes no sense to me. I don't believe that a game should be played... but she did try and get in contact with him... he didn't. So... mehhh.
Secondly - the sideplot as LLV seems to do in the bulk of her tales. There should've been so much more to that than a couple of paragraphs. How on earth do these people get away with their actions... I really wouldn't want to live where they do... everyone seems to look the other way at everything. And what about the doctor that was giving Rue such a hard time? What was the point of introducing that if it was going to lead to nowhere?!!
Thirdly - there is no thirdly, cos I am too cross.
So - in summation.
OK read. OK leads. OK plot.
