Beauty and the Beast by Jan Brett

We love Jan Brett! While Brett's telling of Beauty and the Beast is quite different than what I'm accustomed to from her, it is still spectacular. The story was far and away better than the Disney version and, as always, the illustrations were breath taking and so intricate that we could have spent an hour on every page inspecting every detail.

I loved it, my son loved it: 5 stars. Outstanding.
