This book - to be honest - I got on a whim. It sounded intriguing, and I tend to skew towards darker fantasy in my reading often. However, I can say with utmost certainty that the description does not *begin* to do it justice.

The book is a series of short stories, all written by the same author. However, each story has artwork done by a different artist - and they are all unique and mind-blowing in their own ways. All of the artwork is full color, and often a full page. And really - I cannot emphasize how incredible they are. The stories and the artwork together form two halves of an excellent whole, and i truly look forward to those that come after.

This will make an excellent gift with the holidays coming up - for any gamer fan, fantasy fan, art fan...so many different groups that would find something appealing about this book. Or even for yourself - and it will make an excellent coffee table book that would bring on conversation quickly.
