My Best Friend's Honeymoon
by Meryl Wilsner
I had high expectations for this after seeing a friend rave about it. But I needed more plot, less spice.
The "friends to lovers" trope almost always starts off with the issue of romance possibly ruining the friendship. But even after agonizing over that for the first part of the book, the two MCs very quickly fell into a very intense relationship (that was basically all sex). Once they got together the book became all spice, no plot.
