This was a lovely queer joy historical. Dual POV 3rd person, just one narrator. A few explicit scenes. Plenty of diversity in terms of queer rep, not really any cultural/ethnic diversity. It did have a modern/progressive point of view regarding archaeology, patriarchy, and supremacy.
Graphic: Sexism, Sexual content, Toxic relationship
Moderate: Confinement, Grief, Gaslighting, Abandonment
Minor: Homophobia, Infidelity, Mental illness, Death of parent, Colonisation, Dysphoria, War, Classism
