Mostly not as good as the first book. The problem here is that Asimov slows down his jumping ahead in time that he had in the fist book and is forced to have characters since this book stays in the same time period long enough. Unfortunately they are all obnoxious, poorly developed, and not relatable. I also was not at all surprised when the big reveal came at the end about the Mule's identity. I'll continue the series because I still really love the idea behind it all.
