Ahh this book was so enjoyable from beginning to end! It's really easy to read and get pulled into. And while reading book 1 is helpful to appreciate the details, it's certainly not necessary -- there are enough details given to fully understand what's going on.

I really appreciated the plot in this one! There was a lot going on, and a lot of puzzle pieces to fit together. There were certainly clues of dubious behavior, but there were also a couple twists I didn't anticipate. So it's enough to keep you on your toes, but not so much you're bogged down trying to make it all make sense.

There's some fantastic wit, sass, and banter in the dialogue!

Speaking of, I loved Nox in this one! In book 1, I remember being leery about him, but finally liking him in the end. But in this one, I straight up fell in love with his character and quips!

Totally unrelated (maybe), I now CANNOT WAIT for book 3!! 😍

Thank you so much to the author for the chance to ARC read again! 🫢🏻
