This is probably the book I enjoyed the least from Victoria.

The overall “not like other girls” protagonist (which always appears in her books), plus the annoying millennial humor (and constant Harry Potter references) made this novel a rather bad story.

Cassidy is very unlikable while Jacob is a wannabe mysterious guy. Lara was okay, I guess. Though I believe that every character needed (for some reason) to keep secrets from one another and it felt too repetitive and absurd at some points. Those secrets were pretty much  to keep the plot going, but there wasn’t anything interesting to discover, other than things we already suspected to begin with.

I would like to know how Jacob became un-alive so I will read the sequel. Though I don’t expect much from it.
