I read the The Trap which opened up so many questions and when I started The Gift I didn’t know what to expect. It turns out nothing is what it seems. There are so many unexpected twists to this story. Violet’s character seems to be so unsure of herself that she is totally unpredictable in what she might do.
Adnrius is still the unknown. We find out about his background but what his long term intentions are is questioned. We don’t know where he really stands with Allyov for sure. I see where he is going to put a few kinks into the story.
By the end of this part I could not set it down and then came the cliffhanger. Oh how I hate them. I think this author is excellend in setting up stories that are hard to set aside. Now I have to hope the next part is available soon.
