This book did not keep my attention, and I struggled with it generally. Despite this being the 3 book in the series, I really didn't find myself rooting for the characters. The side characters are the only ones I sincerely liked. I also struggled with the fact that this reads like a YA fantasy, but isn't really YA content. There was a disconnect there, and I think I was hoping for more substance. I was so excited to sltey sowmtbing by this author, but this series was a let down...
