1.0

The only thing that’s keep me from giving it 1 star is that it’s well-paced.

That being said, the plot was pretty interesting, we followed them through a couple of weeks and it’s definitely more gradual. But since it is labeled as an enemies to lovers book, I was expecting them to hate each other but I didn’t sense anything that indicates that they hate each other other than the fact that, I was reminded with words that they hate each other. Supposedly. The girl obviously is extremely attracted to the man, and the man is basically a plank of wood because I have no idea if he is interested or not because the only thing he does is a frown and sometimes smile. The main plot point of the book is that the girl is Spanish and around the time when they first kissed which is around 60% into the book, she stops much rain or say anything that is Spanish. As a person who speaks Spanish and is half Latina, that doesn’t sit right with me. How does a person forget to speak Spanish all of a sudden what is your first language? So it’s definitely a problem that the author forgot to resolve.

The characters are so boring I could die. You can guess it already the girl is fun talkative, loud and short. The man is tall, strong, horny, has blue eyes and did I mention tall? There were no chemistry between the two other than the fact that they always touch each other or they want to touch each other. There’s nothing that shows me that the two of them care for each other because all they want to do is kiss.

The pacing of the book is really really good because I finished it in one day. Why do I have been in a reading slump for around 5, 6 months? So it was definitely difficult for me to read books and finishing them but this book was really fast paced and never really dragged in areas where it was boring. I secretly feel like the author was bored writing it so she would skip parts that were boring to her and I didn’t mind at all because I don’t care for this book. But the writing could be better, actually a lot better. Because the only description I have of the boy is that he is tall, strong, and has blue and ocean eyes. I swear the book Has the words ocean eyes so many times probably 2000 times because every time the woman sees the man it mentions about the ice and they were together the entire time so I don’t think I can read another book with a main character who has blue eyes for a really long time because of this book.

The reason why I mention the main characters as the boy/man or the girl/woman is because this book is so “memorable” that I forgot their names already and it’s only been two days since I’ve read it.
