I really enjoyed this book. I especially liked the historical setting in both England and China. The one thing I found disconcerting was the big jumps in time. This made it difficult to follow the story at times. While I enjoyed this book, I'm not sure if I will read the sequel because while this one came across as YA, the next is adult historical romance. I'm not so sure I want to read an adult romance, but I liked The Hidden Blade enough that I might just read My Beautiful Enemy.
