I came into this blind. It’s my first read by these authors and I didn’t know what quite to expect as I was a little hesitant to start it in the first place. But I’m so glad I did!
Hamilton and Gwen are enemies. He hates her for who she is and constantly refers to her as trash. He’s her bully! Then something happens with Gwen’s sister and after that Hamilton outright cancels Gwen. She’s now completely iced out at school. Not that I makes that much of a difference since she has always been an outsider due to who her family are. Then things take a turn and they’re new, scary and surprising thrilling. They both for a new connection that they both don’t understand what it is yet. One thing leads to another and well Gwen and Hamilton are keeping secrets from they’re family and friends.
There was a lot of character growth in this book. Both Hamilton and Gwen developed. Gwen learned how to forgive and not hold grudges. And Hamilton learned how to not be such an A-hole. I think he probably grew the most and that’s got a lot to do with Gwen herself as she made him a better person.
I really enjoyed this book it didn’t disappoint one bit. There was a good portion of smut, - I’d give it about 3 chillis - I found myself constantly getting butterflies and the plot flowed nicely. Looking forward to reading the next books in this series.
