I thought this book would fill the hole in my life The Bold Type has left while I wait for the next series. It kind of did, like I was getting some of the vibes that matches that show... but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. It could be because it's been a while since I read the previous books or it could have been something else. All I know is the romance was good and I liked the characters but I was missing the really strong BFF vibes that you get from Jane, Kat and Sutton in The Bold Type. I do think there was a strong friendship between the women in this book too... but some of that was set up in previous books and so I don't feel it as much here.

I don't know, it was probably more a me thing than the books fault. I don't think me constantly comparing it to a TV show helped things. It was good and I'm glad I'm another book down on my Kindle but I'm sad this didn't wow me more as Lauren Layne was a firm favourite of mine.
