very grateful to Kenna and Chasing PR for the ARC!
this was my first Kenna King read, and I genuinely loved this book. besides having some of my favourite tropes (fake-dating, hockey romance, one bed, he falls first) i just really loved the natural progression of Hunter and Peytons relationship. it starts off rocky, and theyre at each other's throats, but they eventually find their stride, and ugh, the sticky notes!!!! the little treasure hunts hunter sends Peyton on are to die for.
there's spice scattered throughout this book, but I really liked that it wasnt at the detriment of the plot. the spice accentuated the plot, which isn't seen that often nowadays (not that there's anything wrong with a spicy book, I love me some spice just as much as the next girl)
overall this was a really nice book, and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a nice cosy read.
