Well. I called the “twist” by the first chapter so I don’t know if I can quite get on board with other reviewers and call this a “thriller with a lot of twists.” However, I should say, I have a hard time reading thrillers because the main characters are never likable and I always call the villain wayyyy before I should. This one just felt almost, mockingly apparent. And so with that, to me, this book was boring and hard to really enjoy because the main character was not likable.. at all. I will say, a good part of the book and what is making me give it at least 2 stars is there was a moment where I felt that “ooooh this is getting spooky moment” but that flame unfortunately was blown out by again, a plot point I saw coming. Alas… here’s to trying another thriller that just missed the mark for me.
