Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner
5.0

This woman proves once again what a great author she is. This time she wrote a book about a woman who writes books! Cannie, the main character, is inspiring and doesn't let anyone stand in her way. She stays true to herself no matter what other people think. She rises above her painful past to lead a good life with a relatively happy family, minus her hormonal thirteen year old daughter. The book is full of unexpected twists and turns, with one so sudden and horrible that I almost just wanted to take it back and stop reading the book during the happier parts. The ending is bittersweet, yet hopeful. Definitely a good read, especially if you are already a fan of the author. This book will not disappoint!
