This audiobook completely beat the crap out of my head and my heart. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden are so wonderful as this cast of characters. Absolutely gutted. I usually can guess what is going to happen, but not this book. I don't understand why the reviews for this book are so mixed. This book needs to happen for the rest of the story to move forward. SO many questions answered only to leave more unturned.
