Wow, what a wild ride. Loved the story. Fast read, but very well-written and enjoyable.
This book had all of the elements I like in a romance novel - witty banter, a well-matched main pair, and a decent plot thrown in. It also had a lot of the courtly intrigue that I like about Regency romances, this courtly intrigue going as high as the Prince Regent himself.
Prince Regent George needs his good friend Monty to take a guest off his hands and stay out of London for a few months; Nessie is returning to her mother's house in the country, after leaving her father in Scotland. Sparks fly between Nessie and Monty, but Nessie must do the honorable thing to end her father's banishment to Scotland. I was not sure that it was all going to work out or that there was going to be a cliffhanger - the minister gets to "if anyone has any objections" - but Nessie and Monty eventually get their happily for now. So does Snow, as well.
