It's VERY 90s. It has a dark setting and Geralt isn't interested in making it brighter. I enjoyed the folktale-like approach to the short stories, but I feel like I would have been a bit confused with some of the context (characters / spells) had I not played the games prior. It gives very questionable treatment and descriptions to women characters, including minors, which I wasn't a fan of.
