This book was ADDICTING! I literally could not put it down. I was do drawn to the craziness and rationalization that Meredith was doing to herself for her behavior. The pace was absolutely PERFECT. I loved how we didn't even know what Meredith's husband had done until almost halfway through the way book. My mind was running RAMPANT with could it be this? Or what about this? I haven't read a book like this in a long time. I have read that there is hope of a book 2 and I want to second that!!

Meredith is at a low. She is still reeling and trying to grapple with what her husband did and how much it has changed her in every way. She finds herself not motivated to do anything but feel guilt. Since she is not working she finds herself with a lot of time on her hands. One day she happens to run into Gabriel Wright who was also affected by her husband's actions. But somehow Gabriel seems happy. That can't be right. His life was ruined. Meredith decides she is going to follow him to be able to witness when he shows how he is truly doing. Though she recognizes this is wrong she can't help herself. She discusses her behavior with her therapist and decides she is in the wrong. Now she is ready to start up her practice again and see patients. But when Gabriel walks in one day as a new patient and doesn't recognize her, all bets are off. She KNOWS what she should do but does she do it? Nope she sure doesn't. She has become obsessed with the idea of Gabriel's happiness, and it has somehow become intertwined with hers. She finds herself feeling when she hasn't felt anything in over a year. Lines are beyond crossed. Lies come out into the open and when another patient that Meredith has been working on gets thrown into the mix and truths are revealed Meredith has to ask herself how far is she willing to go to get justice for what happened?

This book is about addiction is multiple senses of the word. Addiction to substances. Addiction to people. Addiction to what you can't have. It goes through the thrills and experiences of before and after said addiction has been tasted. Vi did an EXCELLENT job with the roller coaster of emotions with all of the characters who were struggling in their own way. I found myself rooting for Meredith and Gabriel to work out. Their chemistry was off the chain. The twist at the end though MAN I did NOT see that one coming. How freaking diabolical!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! I can't wait to tell everyone I know to pick up this book immediately!!!
