3.5 Stars (Points docked for lack of closure on major plot points.)
Once again, this narrator did a fabulous job.
I very much enjoyed this series, the magic, the wonder, the imagery, the characters were all well done. I enjoyed the writing style as well.
However, I was left, in the end, with many questions. I really feel like this series cannot be complete (I know she's coming out with a novella but that seems insignificant to answer all our questions). There were definitely dropped threads (no pun intended). What happened to Signa's parents!? That was SO significant in the beginning but was completely left out in the end. Why did Signa's lady's maid also have the glow threads. She wasn't even mentioned in book 3 so why even bring that up in book 2.
I would also like to state on the record that I think Fate is abusive and controlling. I don't think he really redeems himself because he never apologizes in a way that shows he understands exactly how his behavior was damaging to those around him.
