I’ve had this book recommended by a few people I know online (ironically enough, given the subject matter) and of course it crops up on every five-book list talking type 1 diabetes rep.
It lives up to the talk.
Sweetblood is an absolutely phenomenal story of what it’s like to have not just type 1 diabetes, but diabetes burnout. I found the ending a little off, not yet sure why, but I loved this and will be rereading it.
I've lived with t1d for 16 years. Read this if you know the feeling.
