I enjoyed this book a lot! I really liked the flow of it, and I loved the characters. Elixon and Noah were both so delightful in their own ways and together, they were just perfect. I adored the way they came together in the book. I was worried that their video call would turn into a big point of drama and contention between them, but I'm so glad it was just smooth sailing as they realized they were both relieved instead of upset. I feel like there were SO many side plots in this book teasing at the existence of other books that would further elaborate on those stories, and I actually think I liked all of them. Usually, such forward hinting tends to annoy me, but each person who was included in those little sprinkle-ins was really interesting and I'm curious to read each of their books. Especially Loren and Azure, who both seemed to give off the same vibes but in really different ways. My only real disappointment with this book was the lack of spice. We were warned at the beginning that it was a slow burn, and that it was. But I feel like there were a lot of fade to black moments, and the actual kink that this book is basically centered on isn't explored except for a few times of just picking out clothing. Maybe my mind is just too filthy, but I was really wanting to see more with Noah's huge collection of pretty clothing. I feel like there was real potential there to make some really hot scenes and I'm sad they didn't really ever seem to mention the doll aspect after Lix's initial sext.
