Slow burn book that just gets better and better as it goes and you end up literally shook to your core and tearing through the final pages internally screaming. Some plot points didn’t age that well and it took me some effort to overcome my modern sensibilities to really get into the story-that’s my only hang-up. Otherwise, five stars for characters, setting, story, themes, and plot twists I didn’t expect. I’m obsessed.
