Against the Loveless World is a work of fiction- but one that is so intertwined with history that the line between the two is blurry.
This is one of the most beautiful novels I’ve ever read. It’s filled with hope, pain, love, despair, and joy.
The story starts in the present before transporting you to the past and travels between the two throughout the novel. You learn what led Nahr to be imprisoned at the end of the novel and it makes me want to immediately reread to take note of everything in a different light.
I think a novel that can both bring you to tears and make you laugh is the best kind, and this did that and so much more.
Even the acknowledgments are beautiful. I will 100% be buying a physical copy of this
