Teeth in the Mist by Dawn Kurtagich

4.0

This was an amazing structured book that starts off slowly and builds up as you go along. One of my favourite things has to be that the author manages to keep us in the dark at every freaking point in the book, until the very end. We literally get to know nothing and are hooked to the plot. My favourite characters have to be Zoe and Emma because they were both fiery and no-nonsense girls and had a lot of spirit in them. Seamus and Roan come in second because one absolutely cannot not love sweet little Seamus and well Roan just grows onto you somehow.

I think the author did a wonderful job keeping up with the three timelines and merged them seamlessly without leaving her readers confused. I don't usually enjoy horror but this one bordered a bit more on paranormal and mystery and I was just really drawn into the story, even though it creeped the hell out of me sometimes.

I read this book in audiobook version and I feel that is the BEST decision I've ever made. If you're ever grabbing a copy of this book I would highly advise that you listen to the audiobook because the narrators do full justice to the book. I was beyond creeped out by their voices and the background music as well as sound effects. I would literally jump 2 feet in the air every time someone would enter the room because I was so on edge. The narrators took on AMAZING accents, I absolutely adore them for breathing life into this book. I absolutely loved the experience.

Thank you so much to Hachette Audio for sending me an audiobook to review :)
