1776 by David McCullough

Drudgery. And I have permission to say that now.
I was feeling a little crazy for not being engaged in this
book. The jacket blurbs claimed it was riveting and fascinatingly told. Everyone raves about David McCullough, right? Why was I zoning out while reading? Then the guy who works at my son's orthodontist's office asked me if I liked it and said "McCullough's dry" and I was like YES! How fascinating is 1776, but this history is not coming alive for me. Thanks ortho guy for the permission not to love it.
