This book is so long and on top of that so badly paced I fully thought it was over only to find out there was like 15% left. And so much shit happens, that of course it ends up feeling rushed. The 500+ pages book!!! Felt rushed!!
I hated the guy pretty much immediately and he never grew on me, weird side plots about race and police (completely separate mind you!) and unrealistic cancer depiction.
I will say, I kind of like how this author writes (some!!) of her more humorous side plots, I laughed, kind of despite my best intentions.
I will not deign the absolutely atrocious DV plotpoint with any more comment than that.
