The Wasp That Brainwashed the Caterpillar: Evolution's Most Unbelievable Solutions to Life's Biggest Problems by Matt Simon

4.0

We may go about our daily lives in complete oblivion of what the animal kingdom is up to, but they are up to a lot, and a lot of it is weird.

Matt Simon has created a fabulous work where each short chapter tells the tale of a creature that has evolved to have some pretty interesting, if not lethal, attributes.

From an ant that decapitates flies, a pistol shrimp that can generate a 210 decibel claw snap, limb regenerating salamanders, to insulin ejecting cone snails - this book will have you riveted and laughing at many of Matt's one liners.

The world is a fascinating and mysterious place but there is so much going on that we most likely have no idea of, and this book informs on many of those strange and unique events.
