this was beautiful in every way! i absolutely loved the references to chinese culture* through poems, popular stories, historical and philosophical references. these are topics i’ve been studying/i am really interested in so i was happy to read a book like this one! honestly this was a joy to read (*since the book references tang/song period and earlier i am using the term chinese culture here). hoping for a sequel!!
