The Idiot
by Fyodor Dostoevsky
I’ve owned this since I was a junior in high school and had just accepted the idea that it was just a decoration for my shelves. I’ve read Crime and Punishment five times, but only once because I actually wanted to. Dostoevsky’s feverish confession-fueled style is hard for me. But after discussing him with my AP Lit class this month, I had a hankering for more. Very glad I finally read this. Some dips and staggers, but that ending just blew me away.
