one month later… dnf @ 70%
this book was so disappointing. and honestly i’ve gotta say, don’t even bother reading it. i was determined to power through the rest of the book. but i just couldn’t after (spoiler alert) ari’s dad died. it seemed so stupid and i don’t understand what the purpose was. it was almost as if it was purely for shock value and that ended up being what made me dnf.
other than that though, this book just isn’t what the first one was. the pacing was so bad and i was incredibly bored whereas the first book was so engaging. it didn’t seem like anything had actually happened and i read 360 pages of this book.
i’m still counting it as read because i have a rule that if i dnf after 70% it still counts as read because it’s over half of the book.
