Autumn has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Julian, for as long as she can remember. He ends up stealing all her firsts, and then leaves her broken-hearted and distraught.

Ten years later, she’s been hired by his company to help with his public image. When Julian come face to face with her for the first time in a decade, he realises he never stopped loving her and will do anything to keep her this time. But she doesn’t believe him because the last thing he told her was that she was just a fuck to him. Can Julian win her back? Or did he break her heart beyond repair?

Julian truly lived up to his name of alpha CEO! So demanding and growly, just take take take. He clearly loved Autumn so much but I can totally understand why she didn’t believe him at all. I mean, he repeatedly pushed her away any time things started to get too serious between them, and his parting words were soul destroying for her.

They both did their fair share of lying to each other in the past so it’s not quite as cut and dry as “Julian left so he was the bad guy”. And the more that’s revealed the more you realise they’re both to blame for the way things turned out.

It’s told in dual POV and flits back and forth between the past and present. It’s a format that works really well for the story.

Pleeeenty of smut and dirty talk (what else do you expect from an alpha?) with some sweet and heartbreaking moments thrown in too. My only real negative is that I didn’t really see where the emotional side of their relationship came in. Their sexual chemistry was undeniable but the love? Apart from them saying the words I didn’t really
