The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
4.0

I was really impressed with Virginia Boecker's prose. It was engaging, so even when there was a lull in the plot or action, I was still interested in the story!
I freaking loved George! He cracked me up! I was really hoping in the beginning that he was going to be the love interest. (*sighs wistfully*) I also really liked Fifer! She was feisty, and even though she came off as a hard ass (or worse), she totally won me over by the end of the book. You come to realize that she acts tough, but she has good intentions (not to mention spunk in bounds)! I actually kind of wish that Fifer and George had been the main characters! Elizabeth and John were kind of just there for me, though. I wasn't really sold on their romance because I was too focused on George, haha.
The major complaint I have with this book is that I didn't connect as well as I'd hoped. It lacked the feeling for me that I was hoping for. Which is sad, because it really was a great story! I loved the world that Boecker painted, concept was cool! Fifer's knots were totally awesome, and so was the explanation of the symbol (the front cover)!
I don't have much else to say about this book other than I enjoyed it and that you should read it, too!
