kingfan30 's review for:
Oliver Twist
by Charles Dickens
I've seen the musical on TV no end of times (it's one of hubby's favourites) and was lucky enough to see the London theatre show when Rowan Atkinson was playing Fagin. So thought it was about time I read the book.
It was a bit of odd thing though, as most of the way through I kept singing the songs in my head! There were parts that were very familiar and bits that I didn't recognise at all (it's actually been a while since I saw the film, I may have to give it another watch now). On the whole I enjoyed and despite noticing that the copy I have is abridged, there appeared to be a lot missed out in the film. I may have to see if I can hold of the full version at some point to see what else I've missed.
