The balance between the plot and romance is off. The beginning is awesome. I was heartbroken for Mai and what she went through when she was rejected. Heartbroken when she returned battered. Then Mai and Ryan’s reunion is overshadowed by all the drama going on in the pack. And there is a lot of it. So much is going on. So many different bad guys from so many different angles… I skimmed through the last 40% just to see who was behind all the pack turmoil only to find out on the last page and be left with a cliffhanger. There was no warning this was an incomplete story in the synopsis. I HATE that. I will NOT be reading the next book. Would not recommend.
