Finding Faeries: Discovering Sprites, Pixies, Redcaps, and Other Fantastical Creatures in an Urban Environment by Alexandra Rowland
informative
lighthearted
medium-paced

Firstly, why was that bit about autism included? As an autistic person, I found it completely unnecessary, poorly considered, and pretty offensive. There was no reason to include it and there was no attempt at making it relevant either.
Secondly, as a descendant of one of the few Irish families believed to possess a banshee, the information included regarding banshees was woefully inaccurate.
The author's attempt to merge environmental and social issues with cultural beliefs and cryptozoology, alongside pseudo-history, failed spectacularly for me.
