Land of Careful Shadows by Suzanne Chazin

4.0

Murder mysteries are my jam (to steal a Kimmy Schmidt line) as are grape, jock, and space. And this one was the good kind, the kind with chunks of whole fruit and no corn syrup. The kind that does research into immigration issues and makes deportation, crossing, and police fears a central part of the story.
