Eva Winners completely blew me away with this book. This is my first read from Eva, and now I need to go back and read her backlist. Bitter Price is the story of Amon and Reina, two souls who met young in the mafia world of danger, violence, deadly secrets, and hidden pasts. Amon is the illegitimate son of a Japanese woman and an Italian mobster. As Amon grows older, his whole world revolves around his revenge plot against the Romero family. Given his mixed heritage, he finds himself alone and unable to rightfully join the mafia family and be suitable enough as a husband for Reina.

The two forbidden lovers fight their way against the attraction for one another, and let me say that the intensity between them sets fire to each page! They each have their demons and secrets, with hearts full of despair, but they bring out the best in one another, vowing to protect each other. My emotions were all over the place while reading this story. At times, I shed a tear for Amon - he dealt with so much BS throughout this story, and Reina just wanted to be strong enough for him. The heated scenes were passionate, and Amon had a filthy mouth on him - I loved it!

I promise you will love this one if you're a fan of mafia romance with elements of darkness, spice, and twists and turns!
